It’s Halloween Time!

Life has been so busy lately I haven’t had time to photograph our home all decorated for Halloween, despite it being decorated for a month!

If you’ve been following the blog for awhile then you may have noticed a few big changes around our living room and dining room from last year to this year. We acquired a new chair, one of my Holy Grail chairs actually, albeit a knock off, but I’m still very pleased with it, a red Nelson (style) coconut chair. Additionally, we painted a wall in the dining room, and decided it was time to reunite the room divider piece, which we had separated for years, using the lower half as our entertainment center and the upper half as a bookshelf. I absolutely love it, as it provides an even larger canvas for holiday decor. Then Patrick built a custom TV cabinet that has a retro flair to it.

As usual, I used a variety of methods to safely display our vintage Halloween decorations, and you want some helpful tips, check out this post.

We have some other changes on the horizon, as we been having contractors visiting to get estimates on rebuilding the wall that separates the living room from office so we can finally get rid of that brown accordion wall! The hope is to have it done in time for Christmas decorating, as we lost a lot of wall space by reuniting the room divider (you might notice some of our framed pieces from Halloween are missing) and the plan is to gain that back with the new hallway wall.
